American Idol (8pm, Fox) - “American Idol” is down to eight contestants and we’re down to just one left from North Carolina (sadly, Goldsboro’s lovely Majesty Rose was eliminated last week). So the burden to to deliver the “Idol” bragging rights back to the Old North State rests on the shoulders of powerhouse singer Caleb Johnson from Asheville. (We think he’s got a pretty good chance, too.)

Suburgatory (8:30pm, ABC) - This is a bubble show, folks, and it’s really good – which means I’m going to bug you about it every week. Just watch it so I’ll shut up, okay? Tonight, Dallas’ mother passes away, but she asked Tessa to head south with her for the funeral, where Dallas renews a sibling rivalry and confronts her feelings about her mom.

Law & Order: SVU (9pm, NBC) - A single mom gets arrested for child endangerment because she leaves her daughter home alone. But Benson suspected the mother’s actions are based on fear and not neglect.

The Americans (10pm, FX) - Elizabeth attempts to access Capitol Hill, while Stan weighs the costs of Nina’s protection.

Flipping Out (10pm, Bravo) - Well, the new season of this little reality gem has sneaked up on me – and here I see that Jenni is expecting!? I have some catching up to do.
