Your March 18 editorial “ Justice for all” about the Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair court martial aptly stated that the whole affair was an embarrassment to the Army, and that is certainly true. However, it is an embarrassment beyond just to the Army.
My Southern ancestors would call Sinclair a scoundrel. They would call the captain who knowingly and willfully entered into a three-year affair with a married man a jezebel. Apparently, the virtue of wisdom eluded them both, and ultimately Sinclair failed to heed the time-honored belief that “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.”
