Karen Tam: House of arrogance

April 4, 2014

Regarding the March 30 news article “ Does this house deserve a sneer?”: Had Louis Cherry started his land purchase/house building process with the quote “we wanted to be part of a neighborhood that we felt had a sense of community,” his modernist house would never have been a front page story. Cherry is now using that line after the fact, because his back is against the wall, and he is having to defend his house.

This whole mess is because Cherry thought he could do anything he wanted, any way he wanted, anywhere he wanted, and

the folks in Oakwood said, “wait a minute!”
