Raleigh police seek escaped prisoner

Police are searching for a prisoner who escaped from custody Saturday afternoon on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh.

Kevin Terrell Jones, 27, broke free from Wendell police and fled, according to a release from the Raleigh Police Department. Jones faces charges including assault on a law enforcement officer.

He was last seen on Sunnybrook Road, and he was wearing blue jeans and a shirt with black and white stripes, the release stated.

Police ask anyone with information about Jones to call 911.
