Mrs. Alexander Todd Whitfield

Mary Margaret Procter and Alexander Todd Whitfield were married on April 5, 2014 at 5:30 in the afternoon at Fearrington Village in Pittsboro NC. The Reverend Richard Thomas Clayton officiated. Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted the reception. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tilden Bell of Raleigh and Mr. Thomas Andrew Procter of Tyler, TX. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morton Waid Lester of Martinsville VA and the late Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Eugene Procter Jr.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Peter White Whitfield of Greensboro. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lowell A. Sielschott and the late Mr. and Mrs. William White Whitfield.

The Bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. Mary Caroline Rankin served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Julianne Edwards Andrews of Raleigh, Virginia Kirk Andrews of Raleigh, Ashley Morrow Day of Raleigh, Blair Dodson Milam of Washington, DC, Kathryn Headley Ross of Washington, DC, Molly Rachel Skinner of New York, NY, Jeanne Elizabeth Vodicka of Raleigh, Jennifer Reid Whitfield of Greenville, SC, McKenzie King Whitfield of Washington, DC. Flower girl was Violet Whitfield. Anne Parker Coleman of Martinsville, VA, Blair Elizabeth Garnett of Portland, OR and Brooks Marion Powell of Charlotte served as greeters.

Bryan Justin Whitfield of Greenville, SC and Peter Christopher Whitfield of Washington, DC served as Best Men. Groomsmen were James Walker Barber of New York, NY, David Worth Barry of Winston Salem, Seth Alexander Brenner of Washington, DC, David Graham Carroll of Chapel Hill, Mark Christopher Embree of New York, NY, Arthur Lincoln Howson III of Washington, DC and Jonathon McRae Worth of Charleston, SC.

The Bride and Groom are graduates of The University of North Carolina. The Bride is employed by Capitol Broadcasting Company in Raleigh. The Groom is employed by Three Ships Media in Raleigh.

Following a honeymoon in St Lucia, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
