Green Hope, winner of the Bobby Murray Invitational baseball tournament, moves to the top of The News & Observer high school baseball rankings this week.

Orange had been No. 1 before losing to Kernersville Glenn last week 8-2. Previous No. 3 Cardinal Gibbons tumbles to No. 9 after a 10-9 loss to Pittsboro Northwood.

In boys lacrosse, Cardinal Gibbons (12-0) slips past former No. 1 Apex (8-1).
