RALEIGH — A school bus was involved in a crash in northeastern Raleigh, according to the Raleigh Police Department. The bus was taking early-college students back from Wake Technical Community College’s North Campus when it was involved in a wreck at about 2 p.m. near the intersection of Fox and Louisburg roads, according to the police department.
A pick-up truck ran into the back of the bus, according to Raleigh police. Emergency personnel hospitalized five students and the driver of the school bus for non-life-threatening injuries., while three more students were treated on the scene but not transported.
There were no apparent life-threatening injuries, police expected several people to be taken for follow-up examination and any necessary medical treatment, the department said in a written release.
No crash report has been released.
