Garner High School students learn the dangers of texting and driving

Garner High School students experienced the difficulty of driving while texting by driving golf carts on a controlled course on the school campus while texting on Wednesday.

Garner police worked with the SAVE (Students Against Violence Everywhere) chapter at Garner High School to call attention to the dangers of texting while driving.

North Carolina law prohibits all drivers under 18 from using cellphones while driving, and texting while driving is prohibited for all drivers.
