Cary High student Hayley Monsees receives Girl Scout Gold Award

April 13, 2014

Hayley Monsees, a student at Cary High School and member of Troop 1860, has attained the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest achievement in Girl Scouting.

For her project, Hayley worked with WakeMed Raleigh Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to make crafts and Parent Together Time, a chance for parents of babies in the unit to meet.

Hayley made scrapbooks for parents to track babies’ growth and a keepsake craft to make with babies’ footprints. She made a binder of instructions for the hospital to host Parent Together Time and continue making scrapbooks and crafts.
