Raleigh man held on indecent liberties charge

— A Raleigh man is accused of taking indecent liberties with a child.

Maurice Bess Jr., 29, was arrested Tuesday on the felony sex offense charge, an arrest warrant states.

The reported victim was under the age of 16, according to the warrant. The offense was reported to have occurred between Dec. 30 and last Sunday.

Bess, of 313 N. State St., is unemployed, according to county records. He was held being held Tuesday at the Wake County Detention Center on $25,000 bond, records state.
