Wake Forest hit-and-run suspect apprehended in Raleigh

— Police arrested a Wake Forest man on Saturday after a hit-and-run accident left a victim with head injuries.

Darius Cortez Crudup faces a felony hit-and-run charge following the accident that left one person injured.

The accident, at South Main Street and Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest, was observed by a local police officer, but Raleigh police made the arrest.

According to past arrest records, Crudup faced several charges in 2010, including assault on a female, breaking and entering, communicating threats, assault with a deadly weapon, marijuana possession and and larceny.

He was sentenced to jail time and was also required to participate in mental health treatment in October 2010.

Crudup’s bond is set at $50,000.
