From staff reportsApril 23, 2014

— Police said they were looking for two men who robbed an Internet sweepstakes cafe early Wednesday, firing shots inside and then shooting at a customer who ran outside.

Police found Christopher Tyrone McElroy, 48, shot in the stomach when they answered a robbery call at the T-T Internet Sweepstakes Cafe, 2423 Crabtree Blvd., just before 2 a.m.

McElroy was taken to WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh, but his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening, police spokesman Jim Sughrue said.

The shots the men fired inside the cafe did not hit anyone, Sughrue said.

One of the suspects detectives were trying to find was described as a black man, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing 180 to 190 pounds and wearing khaki pants, a white shirt and a tan hat.

The other suspect was a black man who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a graffiti-style graphic printed on it and jeans.

The sweepstakes business is in a strip mall near the intersection of Crabtree and Capital boulevards.
