From staff reportsApril 25, 2014

WAKE FOREST Two women are charged with being unlicensed masseuses and one of them was charged with prostitution after, Wake Forest police alleged, she offered a sex act to an undercover cop if he paid her.

Ying Zhou, 56, was arrested on the two charges at the Bonnie Spa at 10421 Lion Mill Road on Thursday.

Li Xiujin Shanghai, 49, was charged with giving a massage without a license.

Each woman listed the spa as her home address on an arrest report.

Police said they started looking into the spa after getting tips about “sexual favors” being provided there.

Zhou and Shanghai were scheduled for court appearances June 23.

Police said the spa could not reopen until it got the necessary state license.
