NCSSM makes top 8, but not Final Four in Science Bowl

From staff reportsApril 27, 2014

A team from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics made it to the Elite Eight, but not the Final Four, in the Department of Energy National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C., a spokesman said Sunday night.

Competition is to continue Monday morning. In 2013, the Durham school’s team placed second in the high school division.

The top three high-school teams’ winners get trophies and medals, while the 16 top teams, including NCSSM, will receive $1,000 for their schools’ science departments.
