Four Wake County Girl Scouts earn the Silver Award

Xya Lavender, NaTaysha Perry, Aniyah Sneed and Taylor Townsend have attained the Girl Scout Silver Award, the second highest achievement in Girl Scouting.

For their Girl Scout Silver Award project, the four girls held an event named Campfest to help teach other girls outdoor skills and safety.

The girls are members of Girl Scout Troop 63, which is led by April Tate and LaTricia Townsend.

Xya, of Raleigh, is the daughter of Symone Dease and Charles Lavender. NaTaysha, of Knightdale, is the daughter of LaToya Alston and Nick Phillips.

Aniyah, of Raleigh, is the daughter of Angela Sneed-Williams and Eric Williams. Taylor, of Raleigh, is the daughter of John and LaTricia Townsend.
