We’d love to hear your tips on quizzing food servers, deciphering menus and navigating all those peanut-gluten-shellfish minefields.

If you or someone in your family has food allergies, you know how stressful it can be to eat out in restaurants.

We’d love to hear your tips on quizzing food servers, deciphering menus and navigating all those peanut-gluten-shellfish minefields.

And if you’ve found a local restaurant that goes above and beyond to make sure your meal is safe (and delicious!), let us know that, too.

Email bcain@newsobserver.com with your tips and we’ll publish some of the best ones in May. If we use your tip, we’ll send you a small thank you gift.
