From staff reportsApril 30, 2014

— Police charged two men with stealing $2,200 worth of "Gillette razor packs" from a Sam's Club on Tuesday night.

Michael Bryan Strickland, 35, and Robert Hartford Bain III, 39, both of Rocky Mount, were arrested about 9 p.m. at the Sam’s Club store at 2507 S. Saunders St, records showed.

Each was charged with felony larceny, shoplifting and organized retail theft by conspiring with the other.

Both had been charged with misdemeanor larceny on April 19. Bain was arrested on a Nash County warrant charging he did not show up for a court date on a misdemeanor larceny charge in Nash County.

The organized retail theft charge means police believe someone stole at least $1,500 in goods from merchants within a 90-day period.

Bain has a misdemeanor larceny charge pending in Wayne County. Strickland has a date in Wake County Court on that charte next month.
