Apex Scout earns Eagle rank

Torino Hayon earned Eagle Scout in the spring 2014.


Torin Jason Ohayon of Apex has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Boy Scouting.

For his Eagle project, Torin led scouts and volunteers in affixing markers to more than 75 storm drain covers in two Apex neighborhoods.

The markers include a warning about dumping pollutants down storm drains.

Scouts also distributed to more than 275 homes fliers that informed residents about the hazards associated with dumping pollutants down storm drains.

Torin is the son of Regina and Terry Ohayon.

He is a member of Troop 208 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cary.
