Area 2A track and field regional notes

The Triangle is sending athletes from eight different 2A schools – Carrboro, N.C. Science & Math, Durham School of Arts, Bunn, Franklinton, Southern Vance, Jordan-Matthews and North Johnston – to this weekend’s 2A track and field championships. Below are the team scores and local state qualifiers from the 2A Mideast regional last Saturday, which was hosted by Pinecrest High in Southern Pines and the 2A East regional hosted by Pasquotank County High.

East team scores

Durham School of Arts: Shannon Moses, sophomore (100 hurdles); Hana Ratcliffe, senior (800, 1600); Simi Gbadegesin, freshman (200); Deja Davis, junior (300 hurdles); Lydia Gamble, sophomore (400); the 4-by-100 relay, 4-by-200 relay, 4-by-400 relay, 4-by-800 relay.
