This blog has been updated with round-by-round story links to this year’s NCHSAA girls lacrosse playoffs and will add postseason awards TBD.

The Apex girls finished runner-up in the 2014 title. The N&O All-Metro team and N&O Player of the Year will be announced in June.

Note: final scores will be added in parentheses and the bracket is divided in half by “//.”

East bracket

1st round: Topsail at New Hanover (12-4); Jacksonville at Middle Creek (20-6); Greenville Rose at Heritage (20-8); Panther Creek (12-11) at Carrboro

2nd round: New Hanover at Cardinal Gibbons (18-1); Millbrook at Green Hope (15-6); Middle Creek at Broughton (20-10); East Chapel Hill (16-15) at Wilmington Ashley // Heritage at Apex (16-2); Wilmington Laney at Chapel Hill (?); Panther Creek at Wilmington Hoggard (17-4); Athens Drive at Wakefield (16-7)

3rd round/East quarterfinals: Green Hope at Cardinal Gibbons (20-5); East Chapel Hill at Broughton (18-14) // Chapel Hill at Apex (16-7); Wakefield (11-10) at Hoggard

4th round/East semifinals: Broughton at Cardinal Gibbons (22-10) // Wakefield at Apex (14-8)

East final: Apex (15-14) at Cardinal Gibbons
