Twins place Fuld on 7-day DL

Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Twins placed outfielder Sam Fuld on the seven-day disabled list Thursday with concussion-like symptoms.

Fuld crashed into the outfield wall last Friday while making a catch against the Baltimore Orioles. He remained in the game and continued to play for the past few games.

However, on Thursday, he reported to Progressive Field, where the Twins are taking on Cleveland in the finale of a four-game set, with a massive headache and was sent for tests.

To replace Fuld on the 25-man roster, the Twins recalled infielder Eduardo Nunez from Triple-A Rochester.

Following the game, Minnesota optioned infielder Pedro Florimon and catcher Chris Herrmann to Rochester.
