Durham police search for missing 16-year-old girl and her son

— Police are searching for a 16-year-old girl named Keila Valencia who was last seen near her home on Green Street on April 29, according to the department.

Valencia’s 4-month-old son, Edward Valencia, also is missing. Valencia does not have legal custody of the boy, and took him with her, the department said in a written release. Police suspect that mother and son are with Oscar Villanueva, 20.

Police describe Keila Valencia as Hispanic, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants and a blue shirt, according to the department.

Investigators ask anyone with information about Keila and Edward Valencia’s whereabouts to call the department at 919-560-4440 or 919-560-4427.
