Scott Dodson officiated in the traditional Methodist ceremony. A reception followed at a private home along the Intracoastal Waterway. An after rehearsal dinner and party was given by the groom’s parents.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Tayloe Buckman III of Washington, North Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Alan Weston of Washington, North Carolina, Mrs. Edmund Tayloe Buckman, Jr. of Washington, North Carolina and the late Mr. Edmund Tayloe Buckman, Jr. of Washington, North Carolina.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edgar Long, Jr. of Greensboro, North Carolina. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Prioleau Scott of Greensboro, North Carolina, Mrs. Robert Edgar Long of Burlington and the late Mr. Robert Edgar Long of Burlington, North Carolina.

A Bridesmaids luncheon honoring Etta and her bridesmaids was held at a private home on Figure Eight Island in Wilmington Friday, May 9. 2014. It was hosted by several family friends.
The bride graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Communication Disorders and received a Juris Doctorate from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is employed by Mignonne Gavigan in New York, New York.
The groom graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science of Business Administration, and is employed by A2 Access, LLC.
The couple will reside in New York, New York.
