Preakness contenders have final workouts

Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - A pair of Preakness Stakes contenders each had their last workouts Monday morning for Saturday's middle jewel of racing's Triple Crown.

Working at Pimlico Race Course, site of the Preakness, Social Inclusion went four furlongs in 47 seconds over a fast track. Social Inclusion is currently the only Preakness horse stabled at Pimlico.

With jockey Rosie Napravnik riding, Bayern worked five furlongs in 1:02 3/5 on a fast track at Churchill Downs. The 3-year-old colt will fly to Baltimore Monday afternoon.

Trainer Tom Amoss confirmed Monday that 3-year-old filly Ria Antonia will start in the 1 3/16-mile Preakness Stakes. The filly, owned by Christopher Dunn and Loooch Racing Stable, was sixth in the Kentucky Oaks May 2. She won last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies after being elevated from second.
