Wake County school board committee to discuss school land acquisition

Posted by T. Keung Hui on May 14, 2014

The Wake County school board’s facilities committee will tackle several issues at today’s meeting.

The committee will discuss “facilities utilization terminology.” There’s been discussion over the years about how to better define the level of crowding at schools.

The committee will also discuss adjusting the target circles for where they’ll look for sites for new schools.

The committee will discuss a plan for future temporary classrooms.

Also scheduled for discussion are site-plan changes for Green Elementary School in Raleigh. The school is being rebuilt as part of the renovation of the facility.
