    • On Friday, “American Masters” presents its bio of George Plimpton (9:30 p.m., UNC-TV), the man whose exploits in participatory journalism led to the books “Paper Lion” and “Out of My League.”

Season finales continue in droves, but we don’t have space here to list them all. Instead, we’ll focus on something new. Like “The Maya Rudolph Show,” featuring skits and music, which premieres Monday night at 10 on NBC. Guests include Andy Samberg, Fred Armisen, Chris Parnell and Janelle Monae.
