Some lanes of Tryon Road remain closed in Raleigh for gas leak

— Construction work caused a leak of natural gas on Thursday afternoon, closing Tryon Road between Gorman Street and Lake Dam Road in southwestern Raleigh.

Crews opened one lane in each direction just before the evening commute, but police warned that traffic delays likely would continue. The N.C. Department of Transportation expected traffic could be delayed until 6:30 p.m.
