DURHAM — A man who heard arguing outside in his condominium was seriously wounded by a gunshot early Tuesday when he looked outside to investigate, and a second man was wounded Monday by a stray bullet at an apartment complex where bullets flew last week during a parking-lot shootout.
Detectives had identified a suspect in the Tuesday shooting and taken out arrest warrants for that person, police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.
The 62-year-old victim told police heard an argument going on, looked outside his unit In the Bay Creek condos at 1309 E. Hudson Ave. about 1:20 a.m. and was shot.
About 7:30 p.m. Monday, a 24-year-old man was outside the Oxford Manor apartments when he heard gunshots and then realized a bullet had hit him in the shoulder, Michael said.
He was driven to a hospital for treatment.
Last Thursday night, groups in two cars were apparently trading gunfire in the parking area at Oxford Manor.
Police said no one was hit, but a bullet went into a building, and a car was hit.
A driver who happened to be in the area at the time received minor injuries when one of the fleeing cars crashed into his, police said.
The people in the fleeing car ran after the crash, police said.
