    Aldi does not accept coupons or provide bags. Bring your own reusable bags and a quarter to rent a cart. Your coin will be returned when you return the cart to the corral near the front door.

Aldi stores have especially good deals this week on pineapple and cantaloupe -- both just $1.19 each -- along with good prices on bananas, avocados, honeydew melon and red potatoes.

This week's top deals:

Red potatoes: $1.99 for 5-lb. bag. That’s 40 cents per pound.

Bananas: 44 cents per pound.

Avocados: 69 cents each.

Cantaloupe: $1.19 each.

Pineapple: $1.19 each.

Organic baby carrots: $1.49 for 1-lb. bag.

Honeydew melon: $1.69 each.

Organic grape tomatoes: $2.19 per point.

Nonfat yogurt cups: 39 cents.

Frozen entrees (8 oz.): 99 cents.

Multigrain frozen waffles: $1.29.

Neufchatel cheese (8 oz.): $1.29.

Ice cream novelties: $1.99 to $2.29.

Wednesday meat special:

Boneless skinless chicken thighs: $1.49 per pound.

Bone-in beef ribeye: $7.99 per pound.
