Garner police ask help finding robbery suspects

From staff reportsMay 30, 2014

— Two men who robbed a Family Dollar store a week ago have eluded capture, and police are asking the public for information that might help detectives find them.

The men went into the store at 505 Plaza Circle about 9:45 p.m. on May 23, and one of them had a silver handgun, police said.

The men were described as black, one 5-foot-5 to 5foot-6 and one about 5-foot-11, and the shorter man appeared to be in his 20s. Both were thin, and the shorter man was described as having big eyes.

Both wore dark, hooded sweatshirts, dark pants and masks. The taller man wore black-and-white Nike shoes, police said.

The last they were seen, the two were headed on foot toward Circle Drive.

Police asked that anyone with information about the robbery or about people matching the suspects’ descriptions call Investigator Preston Charles at 919-772-8810.
