Luke Bryan takes an onstage tumble in Charlotte

Thursday night, Journey played Raleigh’s Walnut Creek Amphitheatre without incident -- check N&O photographer Scott Sharpe’s photo gallery.

Over in Charlotte, meanwhile, there was a bit of excitement involving bro-country hitmaker Luke Bryan, who managed to fall off the rain-slickened stage during his performance.

“The last time I was in North Carolina, I busted my (expletive) onstage,” Bryan said after he was pulled back up, to roars from the crowd. “What is it about North Carolina that makes me bust my (expletive)?”

Bryan then sang a little bit of “Crash My Party” from his knees, with impromptu lines about the spill he’d just taken. He also told the crowd, “Please YouTube that (expletive).”

Sure thing!

Meanwhile, Bryan is scheduled to bring his (expletive)-busting act to Walnut Creek June 7-8.
