The 2014 News & Observer All-Metro boys tennis team is filled with state champions.

The club is led by N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 3A singles champion Robert Kelly and 4A singles champ Bo Boyden. They dominated play. Kelly was unbeaten this season while Boyden’s only loss was to Kelly.

The 3A and 4A doubles champions also are on the club as well as 4A singles finalist Logan Weber.

Boyden helped Wakefield to the NCHSAA 4A dual-team tennis title while Kelly led Gibbons to the 3A dual-team title.

Both Wakefield and Gibbons accomplished the Tennis Triple Crown, winning singles and doubles championships and the dual-team title.

Sophomore Alex Yang helped lead Cary Academy to the N.C. Independent Athletic Association 3A dual-team championship.
