What to Watch on Sunday: AMC hopes to score with ‘Halt and Catch Fire’

Halt and Catch Fire (10pm, AMC) - With “Breaking Bad” gone and “Mad Men” winding down, AMC could use another “prestige” drama. They’re hoping this is it. Set during the 1980s computing boom, “Halt and Catch Fire” follows the actions of a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy based in the Texas Silicon Prairie. It stars Lee Pace, Scoot McNairy and Mackenzie Davis.

Bachelorette (8pm, ABC) - Andi heads to Santa Barbara with her 16 remaining suitors. On a group date, the men must sing at a Boyz II Men concert. Also, one bachelor receives horrible news.

Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey (9pm, Fox) - A look at Venus and what may have happened to it as a result of the greenhouse effect. Also: an examination of climate change on Earth and what it means for the future.

Game of Thrones (9pm, HBO) - A verdict is reached on Tyrion’s fate and unexpected visitors arrive in Mole’s Town.

Salem (10pm, WGN) - Alden worries when an old nemesis arrives in Salem with secrets that could destroy him.

Oprah’s Master Class (10pm, OWN) - Whoopi Goldberg discusses her life.

Penny Dreadful (10pm, Showtime) - Vanessa’s infatuation with Dorian Gray continues to grow. Meanwhile, Malcolm hires Van Helsing to work with Dr. Frankenstein to find a cure to a disease that may be affecting his daughter.
