Students honored for posters

Five students were recognized at a recent Wake County Board of Education meeting for their entries in the Disability History and Awareness Month Poster Contest.

Students in grades one through five were asked to create art that demonstrated the theme of “Diversity + Disability = Diversability.”

The winners were:

• Aidan Fuller and Ryan Schaffroth, both of Farmington Woods Elementary in Cary.

• Argelia Flores Martinez and Ashly Mendoza Caceres of Hodge Road Elementary in Knightdale.

• Mac Soare of Green Elementary School in Raleigh.
