Regarding J. Peder Zane’s June 4 column “ ‘Mean-spirited’ Republicans our last, best hope”:
Isn’t it interesting that when Republicans talk about the new laws being imposed on N.C. by their party in the state legislature and their interference in local affairs, they are simply carrying out the will of the people who elected them. But when our duly elected president proposes or enacts new laws and regulations they don’t agree with, he is vilified by them and referred to as anything from a communist to a dictator or worse?
Can Zane write some more about hypocrisy, please?
