Aviation Parkway at the Lake Crabtree bridge has reopened to travel in both directions, according to Cary officials.

The road was closed earlier today so crews could restore utilities damaged by Wednesday's storms.

The road was shut down in both directions between Evans Road and Gateway Centre Boulevard beginning at 8:30 p.m. according to the state Department of Transportation.
