    (7-9 p.m.).

Bluegrass fans know a great singer when they hear one. And Claire Lynch, three-time IBMA female vocalist of the year, is the poster child for integrity when it comes to lending her voice to songs with depth, meaning and emotion. Lynch’s artistry is also recognized beyond bluegrass: In 2012, she was awarded a United States Artists Fellowship, an award honoring “the highest level of excellence in work created by America’s finest artists throughout all stages of their careers.” Lynch’s bandmates – Mark Schatz, Matt Wingate and Bryan McDowell – also rank at the top of their profession. Together, they make some of the most soulful, entertaining music in bluegrass. On Sunday, the Claire Lynch Band brings its talents to the Midtown Park Amphitheater at North Hills in Raleigh.
