Wake County school board to discuss how to support students

Posted by T. Keung Hui on June 12, 2014

Support for students, school health recommendations and community partnerships will be the topics discussed at today’s Wake County school board student achievement committee meeting.

The committee will get an update on how the Responsiveness to Instruction (RTi) system and the Multi-Tier System of Supports (MTSS) will be used in the 2014-15 school year to help students. Both systems touch on the different levels of service that Wake will provide students to help them succeed academically.

The committee will also discuss recommendations from the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC).

The last topic is “WCPSS Community Collaboration,” where people can email collaborate@wcpss.net on how they want to partner with the school system.
