WRAL is bringing former reporter and anchor Lynda Loveland back to TV. Loveland, who had until recently co-hosted the WRAL-FM morning show, will co-anchor WRAL’s morning news on Fox 50 each weekday from 7-9 a.m. She’ll anchor alongside Michelle Marsh.

Loveland worked in the WRAL newsroom for ten years before taking the radio gig. She worked with longtime host Bill Jordan until his retirement last year. Jordan’s replacement, Mike Chase, left WRAL-FM in May to return to his old radio job in Portland. Loveland had also been off the air since then.

Loveland’s work at the Fox anchor desk starts Friday morning. In addition to the Fox duties, the station says she will also report and fill in at WRAL.

So far, WRAL has not addressed the issue of replacing the hosts of WRAL-FM’s Mix 101.5 morning show.
