Statistically speaking: Business owners say climate change is already affecting NC

More than half of small-business owners in the state think climate change is already affecting North Carolina, according to a survey by Environmental Entrepreneurs, a nonprofit group that promotes environmental policies that drive economic growth. Here’s more:

55% owners who said it’s important for state lawmakers to protect North Carolina’s environment and economy by addressing climate change.

90% owners who said protect ing the state’s environment and quality of life is important for economic growth.

75% owners who said it’s important for the state to continue supporting energy-efficient programs.
