Building reopens at Wake Tech north campus after early morning fire

From staff reportsJune 16, 2014

— A fire Monday damaged an electrical-equipment room at Wake Technical Community College's Northern Campus and forced officials to close the building's classrooms for part of the day, officials said.

A posting on the Wake Tech website said the building reopened at 10 a.m.

Gayle Green, the college's senior vice president at the campus at 6600 Louisburg Road, said in an email that Building E’s “classrooms and lecture hall have not been harmed” by smoke or fire, but would be closed until further notice.

The school said the fire happened about 2 a.m.
