Raleigh man, woman charged with drug trafficking

— A man and woman were arrested Friday at their Raleigh home and charged with drug trafficking for having 13.6 pounds of what police said was marijuana.

Tyrus DeWayne Williams and Kendra Maneka Jones, both 36, live at 1652 Eva Mae Drive, where police took them into custody, according to arrest reports.

Williams was charged with trafficking, and Jones was charged with trafficking and possession with intent to sell.

An arrest warrant for Jones said police found 6,190 grams of the leafy drug, which is about 13.6 pounds.

Williams was charged about 4:30 p.m.

Jones was charged about two hours later after questioning at detective headquarters on Atlantic Avenue, records show.

Williams was held in lieu of $50,000 bail and Jones in lieu of $75,000, and both were due to appear before a judge Monday.
