The Carolina Hurricanes announced Tuesday they will play seven exhibition games before the 2014-15 NHL regular season, including two games at PNC Arena.

The Canes will open the preseason schedule in Raleigh on Sept. 21 against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Carolina then will play four road exhibitions -- against Buffalo (Sept. 23), the New York Islanders (Sept. 24), St. Louis (Sept. 30) and Columbus (Oct. 1) -- before hosting the Buffalo Sabres at PNC Arena Oct. 3

The Canes, who have yet to announce a new head coach, will end the preseason with a road game Oct. 5 against the Washington Capitals.
