Garner youth found in Raleigh street with gunshot wound in back

— A 17-year-old Garner youth was shot in the back outside a house late Tuesday, but his injury was not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

Nyszeck Tyrae Durham was in the street near 3105 Snowberry Drive when police arrived shortly before 11:30 p.m., police spokesman Jim Sughrue said.

An ambulance took Durham to WakeMed Hospital, police said, and he was reported to be in serious condition Wednesday.
