Stylin': Sparkly trunk shows and Raleigh Denim Workshop's Summer Fete

Brace URself uses its jewelry to benefit a good cause, with a portion of its proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Association.


Accessories, bridal gowns and more are on tap for this week’s lineup of trunk shows in the Triangle:

• Creating its bracelets from crystals, semi-precious stones and other materials sourced from around the globe, Brace URself uses its jewelry to benefit a good cause, with a portion of its proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Association. Scout & Molly’s will host a trunk show of the jewelry line Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at its North Hills location in Raleigh. For more information, call 919-274-4866.

• Pearls are the word this week at Bailey’s Fine Jewelry in Raleigh’s Cameron Village with a pearl trunk show Thursday-Saturday. The show will feature pearls from Mikimoto, as well as one-of-a-kind pieces. For details, call 919-829-7337.

• Traditions by Anna bridal boutique in Raleigh will have the latest gowns from the Darling by Heidi Elnora collection for a trunk show Friday and Saturday. To schedule an appointment, call 919-783-8652.

Summer Solstice Soiree

Joint Venture Jewelry and Peachy Keen boutiques in Cary celebrate the coming of a new season with their Summer Solstice Soiree from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. The event will include trunk shows and appearances by local designers such as Kenda Kist Jewelry and Cicada Studios, plus refreshments. Details:

Summer Fete

Score a deal on locally made Raleigh Denim jeans and celebrate the new season at Raleigh Denim Workshop’s Summer Fete, from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at their downtown Raleigh location. Attendees find bargains during the seconds and samples sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., shop swimwear from the Faherty Brothers in their beach house on wheels from noon to 6 p.m. and enjoy live music from the band Tonk at 2:30 p.m. The Dear Hearts vintage shop on wheels will be on hand, Arrow Barber Shop will offer complimentary cuts and shaves, and food and beverages will be available from local businesses.
