SUNDANCE CHANNEL

Rectify (9pm, Sundance Channel) - If your cable package includes the Sundance Channel, don’t miss the Season 2 premiere of “Rectify,” an often overlooked but stunning drama about a man coping with life in his small hometown after being released from prison for a murder he (probably) didn’t commit. If you missed the first season, it’s streaming on Netflix. In tonight’s episode, Daniel’s family fears the worst after learning about his beating.

Also on tonight . . .

Defiance (8pm, Syfy ) - In the Season 2 premiere, Nolan’s search for Irisa leads him to “New Chicago” and “Angel Arc” Los Angeles.

Dominion (9pm, Syfy) - In the two-hour pilot for this new supernatural drama series, a soldier learns he is the “chosen one,” destined to lead humanity and end the devastating war with the angels once and for all.

Rookie Blue (9pm, ABC) - In the Season 5 premiere, Andy and Dov get caught in a holdup and later, Andy responds to a homicide at a pawnshop with a rookie officer.
