Raleigh man arrested on child-pornography charges

— A 48-year-old Raleigh man was scheduled to go before a judge Thursday following his arrest on 12 charges of duplicating child pornography videos.

Four arrest warrants charge Roy Christopher Perry with three counts each of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, a charge that involves making, copying or distributing films or photos that show minors in sexual activity.

According to records, police arrested Perry on Wednesday afternoon at his apartment at 6611 Roundstone Drive.

Perry told booking officers that he works for the NC Detective Agency Inc., a company that provides a range of private security services, according to its website.

The charges are for copying that the arrest warrants said ranged from Jan. 2 through Wednesday.

Perry was being held at the Wake County Detention Center in lieu of $200,000 bail.
