New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The National Hockey League released its full schedule for the 2014-15 season on Sunday.

The league had already announced the home openers for all 30 clubs and that the regular season will begin with four games on Oct. 8.

One of the highlights on opening night will be the Los Angeles Kings raising their second Stanley Cup championship banner in three years before they battle the San Jose Sharks.

Another highlight of the season will be the NHL Winter Classic, which will see the Washington Capitals host the Chicago Blackhawks at a soon-to-be-named venue on Jan. 1.

The league will then pause from Jan. 22-26 for the All-Star break, with the events to be held in Columbus. The first All-Star Game since the 2011-12 campaign will be played on Jan. 25.

The regular season ends April 11 with 15 games.

There will be no further divisional realignments and the scheduling matrix which allows all 30 teams to play each other at least twice remains intact.
