Raleigh motorcyclist accused of firing gun at motorist

— A 55-year-old-man is accused of firing a pistol while riding a motorcycle on Thursday evening, according to an arrest warrant.

David Lloyd Mastin, of 10633 Pine Thicket Court, was riding in "rush-hour traffic" on U.S. 401 when he reportedly fired a .32-caliber handgun at another male motorist, an arrest warrant states.

The incident took place near the intersection of U.S. 401 and Ten-Ten Road south of Raleigh, an arrest warrant states. A Wake County sheriff's deputy arrested Mastin around 6:30 p.m., according to county records.

Mastin then reportedly provided "false information" to an investigating deputy, according to the arrest warrant.

Mastin faces a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and misdemeanor charges of going armed to the terror of people and resisting a public officer, according to the arrest warrant.
