From staff reportsJune 30, 2014

RALEIGH A man arrested Sunday by Wake County sheriff's deputies who said he had a stolen motorcycle was being held on unusually high bail of $500,000 because he has felony charges pending in at least three other counties.

Deputies said Lamont Andre McKoy, 40, of Fremont had a stolen Suzuki motorcycle when they arrested him about 1:15 a.m. Sunday in a mobile home park on South Spring Garden Circle off Old Stage Road.

State correction department records show McKoy has arrests going back to the month after he turned 16, when he was charged with receiving stolen property after put on probation after being convicted in 1990.

State court records show McKoy has court sessions scheduled in Iredell, Johnston, and Harnett counties on felony charges involving larceny or possession of stolen goods and in Robeson County for a traffic charge.

In setting bail, magistrates said McKoy had been indicted in Franklin County and had a total of 14 cases pending.
